RCS Fleet Services, Inc. is looking for experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Conducting safety checks on trucks and trailers.
  2. Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
  3. Performing inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  4. Selecting appropriate course of action for repairs.
  5. Tractor and trailer preventive maintenance.
  6. Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
  7. Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary.
  8. Moving vehicles safely.
  9. Communicating professionally with customers, team members, and management.
  10. Participating in safety or educational training as required.

  • Preferred minimum of 3-years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Must be able to acquire or have a Virginia State Inspectors License
  • Must have your own tools
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • Must be able to work under limited supervision
  • Thermo King, Freightliner, Cat, Cummins, Detroit, Allison, Eaton, and Meritor experience a plus!

RCS Fleet Services, Inc., located in Bealeton, Virginia, has an opening for a Heavy Diesel Shop Foreman.  Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years overseeing technicians.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Responsible for the supervision of maintenance and repair within the Heavy-Duty Shop.
  2. Be available in the shop to answer questions/assist employees as needed. 
  3. Responsible for working directly with the Service Manager to ensure customer/shop schedules are met.
  4. Ability to assign priority to repairs/customers.
  5. Lead and supervise employees.
  6. Inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure that quality maintenance standards are being met. 
  7. May be required to perform repair on an as-needed basis.
  8. Expected to exercise considerable independent judgment in solving unusual work problems.
  9. Will speak with customers to discuss mechanical issues. 
  10. Represent the company when speaking with customers/distributors. 
  11. Achieve a high-level of customer service/satisfaction.
  12. Train and uphold employees to company standards and procedures.
  13. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturer’s publications.
  14. Orders parts and schedules third-party services when needed. 
  15. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
  16. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to higher-management.
  17. Direct the upkeep and appearance of shop/parking lot area.
  18. Assist in recruiting, screening, training, and evaluation of shop employees.
  19. Be trusted with management information regarding company and employees, cannot discuss with other employees.

  • ​Preferred minimum of 5+ years of experience of overseeing technicians.
  • Must have excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Must possess a Class A CDL License.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a good morale among your team.
  • Must understand DOT laws and regulations.
  • Must be willing to work a schedule that includes rotating Saturdays.
